Howdy Cowfolks:
   Well, the rains finally subsided enough to get our May match completed on May 30. The morning began with bright sunny skies in the high 60's, and most of the day remained the same. A few clouds rolled in around 2:00pm, and we experienced about 3 minutes of very light sprinkles. The clouds rolled on, and the rest of the day was bright and sunny with a slight breeze, and a high of 79 degrees. 48 shooters showed up even though we had 40% chance of scattered thunder storms in the forecast. 21 categories were represented, and 63% of the shooters achieved their rifle bonus shot at a 15" x 15" target, 64 yards up the hill.
   Congratulations to: Geronimo, Zwing Hunt, Fargo Bill, and Buffalo Bud Harden on their "Clean Match" for the day.

    Happy June birthdays to: Badlands Barb, Drew First, Fargo Bill, Long Horn Clem, Lorenzo Lain, and Randy Atcher.
    We also are glad to welcome Mohave Kid & JJ as new members to Thunder Valley.
    Dusty Walker and his wife are expecting a baby girl in a week or so, and we are sure excited about having a new cowgirl in southern Indiana.
    It is official, Miss Sassy Sasparilla received her notification from SASS Headquarters, and she is again the recipient of a $2000.00 scholarship from SASS. Her hard work and excellent scholastic achievements have paid off again. She will be supervising one of the side match events at the Indiana State Match this year. Stop by and visit with her, and give her a big hug for her accomplishment.
    I did some remodeling at the Saloon this week. The cell door has been removed, the seat in the cell removed, the north wall of the cell has been removed, and another horizontal table has been added for the staging of long guns. You will no longer have to enter/exit the cell and move around the outside perimeter of the cell. Access to all five windows of the Jail is now available by moving directly from one end of the stage to the other. I think you will enjoy the change and find a much smoother transition than before.
    Reminder: Indiana State Match at Deer Creek, Jul 24-26. The registration fee this year is only $85.00 and includes the Saturday dinner, and unlimited side matches on Friday.
