RANGE FEATURES ..... Targets are made by Arntzen Premium Cowboy Action Targets.  "They ring like a bell when you hit them".  Carpet covered loading/unloading tables.

AMMO: .....  CAS lead bullets only!! No Magnums, No Slugs, No Buckshot, No Steel Shot.  

650 to 1000 ft/sec pistol loads.

 1400 ft/sec or less for rifle loads. 

  #4 shot or smaller for shotgun loads. 

Targets damaged by unauthorized ammunition will be the responsibility of the shooter.

FIREARMS: ..... Shooters will need 2 single action revolvers, at least 32 caliber.  A lever action or slide action rifle in pistol caliber with exposed hammer and tubular magazine, 25 caliber or larger.  Either a double barrel shotgun without ejectors, or a pump or lever action shotgun with exposed hammers, 20 gauge or larger.  Firearms for side matches will be detailed for each class.

Equipment: ..... Holsters, cartridge belts, etc.  A "gun cart", stool, or some type of seat, and small tools are often helpful.

Eye and Ear Protection are Mandatory for All Shooters and Guests !!

Dress: ..... Cowboy Action Shooting reflects the period of 1865 to 1899.
  Shooters should dress accordingly.  Hats, boots, and long sleeve shirts are a must!  SASS rules apply and are enforced.

Shooter Fees: ..... $15.00 for Members of Thunder Valley.  $20.00 for Non-Members.

Food & Drinks: ..... Hot dogs or burgers, chips, "Redneck Chili", and soft drinks available on Main Match Days.  Water will be available on all days.  No alcoholic beverages allowed on the range at any time!! 

Lodging: ..... Also many local motels are available. Call or email us in advance for more details on local lodging.

Overnight primitive camping is available for those who travel long distances.

Awards: ..... Award presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all classes on
Main Match Days.
